The “Fi Wi” Jamaica Project being executed by the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Ja), under a Cooperative Agreement with the USAID, produces the Ubuntu ‘Essence of Humanity’ Award Ceremony. Based on the southern African philosophy of Ubuntu, – 'A person is a person because of others,' the Awards appropriate the ideals of respectful service to others as the highest form of recognition of their humanity.
