The dub poetry piece, “Armadale: Children on Fire”, written by local poet, Randy McLaren, was created after reading through the entire report that was compiled by Justice Paul Harrison. The aim of the piece is to raise awareness and to ensure that the incident remains in the consciousness of all Jamaicans. UNICEF supported the production of this 10-minute creative video, which was released to the public on the anniversary of the incident, May 22, 2013. It is being used to advocate for better conditions for wards of the state.
